Accessibility Statement

VoteROI.com Mood Forecast targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. This page describes the current state, known gaps, and how to report issues.

Current conformance level

WCAG 2.1 AA, partial. All text content meets contrast minimums. All maps, charts, and forecasts include semantic <title> elements for assistive technology. The site uses semantic HTML5 landmarks, keyboard-navigable links, and skip targets where appropriate.

Known gaps and remediation roadmap

• Choropleth maps: hover tooltips work for sighted users. We are adding a parallel sortable table at each map for keyboard and screen-reader access (Phase 6).
• Color-only signals: forecast bands use color plus text labels ("Lean D", "Toss-up"). The dimension heatmap currently relies primarily on color; a text overlay is planned.
• Auto-refresh widgets: live status timers do not currently announce updates via aria-live. Planned fix Q3.

Browser and assistive technology support

Tested against current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows). If you use a different combination and encounter problems, we want to hear.
