Terms of Service

Effective 2026-06-23. These terms govern your use of sentiment.voteroi.com and all subscription products operated by VoteROI.com LLC.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using VoteROI.com Mood Forecast (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts

You may need to register an account to access certain features. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions renew automatically on the cadence selected at signup (monthly or annual) until canceled. You authorize VoteROI.com LLC and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your payment method on file at each renewal. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and does not refund the current period unless required by law.

Prices, plan features, and trial terms may change. We will notify active subscribers via email at least 14 days before any price increase. All amounts are in US dollars.

4. License to use the Service

Subject to these Terms, VoteROI.com LLC grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal use. You may display public-tier content on your own site only via official embeds with attribution preserved.

5. Restrictions

• You may not scrape, mirror, or republish the data, methodology, or visualizations without written consent.
• You may not use the Service to train machine learning models that compete with it.
• You may not bypass rate limits, authentication, or access controls.
• You may not present the data in a way that materially misrepresents it (selective cropping that inverts the meaning of a chart, etc.).
• You may not use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of campaign finance or election law.

6. Intellectual property

The methodology, code, brand, and presentation of the Service are owned by VoteROI.com LLC. Underlying public data (FEC, BLS, Census, etc.) remains in the public domain as published by its respective source; our compilation, normalization, and weighting of that data is our copyrightable work and may not be reproduced without consent.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (feedback, support requests). You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that content to operate and improve the Service.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the data is complete, accurate, current, or fit for any particular purpose. Forecasts are probabilistic and clearly labeled as experimental; nothing on the Service is investment advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of any electoral outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoteROI.com LLC, its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the Service. Total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoteROI.com LLC against any claim arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any reason on reasonable notice. You may close your account at any time.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Mitchell County, North Carolina, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; we will post the revised version with an updated effective date. Material changes will be emailed to active subscribers.
